upgraded comfort during our stay

We received a swift room change when the electricity was not working in our initial room. The upgrade to a family suite was delightful, and my daughters loved the extra space and amenities.

Great place with free wi-fi, free parking, and a cute bar area. I remember the staff helping me with my room late at night on my first stay. I highly recommend it for a romantic escape.

The room was clean and comfortable, but the restaurant prices were excessive.

We had a lovely stay and were pleasantly surprised when they upgraded us to a family suite, which my daughters absolutely loved! The garden area was perfect for a relaxing afternoon, and we enjoyed some quality time on the sun terrace too. The only downside was the slow check-in process, but it didn’t ruin our fun at all! 🌼

We experienced exceptional customer service when John opened the restaurant for my mother's 95th birthday. The afternoon tea was plentiful and beautifully presented, making this visit truly memorable.

The commitment to improve the accommodations is encouraging, suggesting future stays will be even better.

we really enjoyed our stay. the atmosphere is lovely and makes u feel at home. the staff were super friendly and professional. the views from our room overlooking the golf course were stunning. had a real nice quiet location that's perfect for relaxing.

We enjoyed the amazing meals here, especially the delicious breakfast and their fantastic burgers! The sun terrace is perfect for relaxing, and the beautiful garden area offers some nice views too. Just a note, the bathroom could have used a bit more attention, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. 😊

The moment I stepped onto the property, I was blown away by the breathtaking views of the immaculate grounds and rolling hills. The King Suite with Balcony was pure luxury, with a spacious layout that included a freestanding bath made for two—perfect for a romantic escape! And let’s not forget the food. the culinary delights, especially the eggs Benedict at breakfast, simply took my breath away!

our stay at the welbeck was simply amazing! the location boasts stunning scenery, perfect for a relaxing evening. the king suite with balcony was gorgeous, designed elegantly with a spacious layout. the staff celebrated our wedding with us, offering complimentary bubbly and delicious meals, especially the eggs benedict which surpassed any i've had before. the grounds are immaculate, making it a lovely place to unwind.

Urgent need for refurbishment!!! Outdated public areas detract from the overall experience and give an impression of neglect, which is disappointing for the hotel’s price point!!! Clearer signage is essential for easy navigation within this sprawling place!!!

Great stay near Dartmoor Zoo!

Had a lovely 2-night stay in the Superior King Room. Location was on point—10 min walk to Dartmoor Zoo and just a short drive to Plymouth. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The golf course views were nice, but a bit of building work outside kinda took away from the charm. Dining in the bar area was fun, but the tea could’ve been better.

The location near the golf course is simply stunning. Peaceful surroundings and great views from the dining room. The staff made me feel welcome, especially Issy, who was attentive and knowledgeable. Food quality exceeded my expectations. the crab dish was particularly fresh and flavorful. My room was well-maintained and very clean, perfect for a good night's sleep. Despite the positives, there were downsides. The courtyard room felt small, lacking in space and comfort with only one chair. I wished for cotton bed linen instead of polyester. I noticed a lack of presence from some staff members during meals, making service a bit slow at times. The building itself needs some updates to match the lovely atmosphere.
